Fashion Show Favourites: Golden Goose attends LC:M 2014
The team at Golden Goose were excited to attend this year’s LC:M to see what the fashion forward would be donning this season.
Over the three days of shows, we saw a few key trends emerging;
- Monochrome; anything black or white  (not checkerboard)
- Clean lined tailoring;  classic styles with a modern twist
- Safari : to camouflage, a colour palette of khaki, bone and sand
There were two events in particular that GGPR wanted to blog about.
 The first was that of innovative fashion duo Ada Zanditon and Nik Thakkar who showcased their new collection “Carpe Noctem SS:15″ for their label Ada + Nik at St. Martins Lane Hotel.
Eighteen unique pieces channeling “minimalist luxe aesthetic”. From kilts, lightweight mesh, sheer, metallic, eel skin t-shirts to our favourite; the cuff sleeved calf leather biker jacket. (This jacket even features a secret compartment for storing e-cigarettes).
The soundtrack accompanying the catwalk, with signature tune- “Keep it 100″ by Grandtheft & Keys N Krates, had viewers moving in their seats.
Distinctive fashion, but wearable and all ethically sourced and produced in the UK- we like this a lot.
The after-party was undoubtedly catered for a fashion crowd with collagen shots, e-cigarettes and russian mules chased by vodka colas.
In stark contrast to Ada + Nik, the second event we wanted to blog about was held at 11 Savile Row by iconic British tailors Huntsman. The opening night launched the one month exhibition; ‘Gregory Peck: Style Archive of an Icon’ and showcases bespoke Huntsman suits worn by the Hollywood legend, Gregory Peck throughout his career. There was a star turn out with Anthony Peck, David Gandy, Cecilia Peck, Arpad Busson, Jack Guinness and Guy and Elizabeth Pelly all in attendance.

A mannequin dressed in the dinner jacket Peck wore to collect his Oscar in 1962, another wearing the iconic overcoat seen in ‘The Omen’ and another in a recreation of the frock coat he wore in ‘The Million Pound Note’. Every garment on display in store was personally commissioned by Peck and created by Huntsman. Samsung tablets were mounted onto the mannequins creating ‘talking heads’, where guests could listen to through 1950’s Bakelite telephones attached to each device.
The interactive exhibition entertained attendees as they sipped on Chivas cocktails, feasted on Gressingham duck, Roe deer and Hereford beef canapes while listening to Peck’s favourite jazz tunes, mostly songs of Sinatra and curated by Peck’s son Anthony. As the night progressed, Jack Guinness took to the decks and spun a fun set of 1950’s and 60’s rockabilly and dance.
Guests were delighted to see and hear about Peck’s life and achievements as an actor, a style icon, a humanitarian and as a father. The event was a lovely balance of glamour, elegance and style with ‘Best Dressed’ awarded to the Gregory Peck mannequins!
There was also a gold and shiny ‘Best Actor’ Oscar on display as well as an amazing collection of cars parked outside including an Aston Martin Shooting Break, Bentley Star, Mercedes Sports E-Class and a Range Rover Gun Bus.
A memorable evening celebrating one of Hollywood’s finest and how incredibly special to have had Gregory Peck’s family there to share the experience.

The exhibition is free and will run until the 17th July.
