The Beautiful Game?
After England’s swift exit from the World Cup we couldn’t help wondering do looks play a part? Never one to shy away from honesty, the world’s most controversial dating website BeautifulPeople.com asked its members to vote on the most attractive and least attractive players this World Cup. After tallying more than 200,000 votes, England striker Wayne Rooney was named the ugliest footballer on the planet. He was closely followed by Franck Ribery from France, Carlos Tevez from Argentina and Serbia’s Vladimir Stojkovic. The most beautiful football player- Italy’s Fabio Cannavaro beat the likes of playboy football player Cristiano Ronaldo and Thierry Henry. The BeautifulPeople.com ‘dream team’ and ‘scream team’ sparked debate and made headlines all over the world about what we look for when it comes to our sporting superstars.
